New I.C.U. Renovation

Smith Hafeli is proud to partner on the renovation of the 3B in-patient care ward located on the third floor of Building 1 at the Marion VA Medical Center. This 7,000 square foot project involves full demolition and reconstruction to transform the existing space into a modern Intensive Care Unit that meets current standards for patient privacy, safety, and care delivery. Scope includes architectural upgrades, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system replacements, life safety improvements, telecommunications integration, and security enhancements. Work will be completed in multiple phases with detailed coordination alongside VA staff to maintain adjacent hospital operations and minimize disruptions to patient care. Temporary HVAC and infection control systems will be implemented throughout the duration of the project. This initiative is a critical part of the VA’s continued investment in healthcare modernization and veteran care delivery infrastructure.
