Construct Campus Perimeter Fence for Security

Smith Hafeli was contracted to construct a new physical security barrier system around the Marion VA Medical Center campus as part of VA Project No. 657A5-23-114. The multi-phased project includes the removal, replacement, and expansion of the existing perimeter fence with VA-compliant security fencing across approximately 6,000 linear feet, as well as installation of fencing along previously unprotected northern boundaries. Scope includes installation and integration of new vehicular and pedestrian access gates, lighting, surveillance systems, and associated electrical infrastructure required to support modern security equipment. All work was performed with careful coordination to maintain the integrity of campus security throughout construction and was completed in full compliance with VA standards, manufacturer specifications, and all applicable codes.
