Paul Simon Federal Building – Renovation

Smith Hafeli was contracted to replace the existing water-cooled chiller systems and associated components at the Senator Paul Simon Federal Building in Carbondale, Illinois. The scope includes removal and replacement of chillers, cooling tower, pumps, piping, motor control center, and control systems, along with minor site work. The project is designed to improve energy efficiency, system reliability, and climate control performance within the federal facility—all executed in accordance with applicable federal standards and specifications.
